Psychologist Profile

Overview

Isabelle is a Counselling Psychologist with experience in providing psychological consultation and reflective practice in Residential Care within the Department of Communities. Her work has a strong focus on the impact of complex developmental trauma on young people as well as promoting therapeutic work with the carers and systems that surround the child. This involves supporting carers to provide secure attachment relationships for youth who have significant histories of maltreatment, neglect and disrupted attachment.

Isabelle has in depth experience working with and communicating Attachment Theory, Neurosequential Model, Vicarious & Secondary Trauma, Blocked Care, the Sanctuary Model, Mentalisation-based practice, PACE, and general psychoeducation. She is a Circle of Security Parenting Facilitator and trained in Therapeutic Crisis Interventions.
